I created Ouate to offer them what didn't exist: natural, vegan rituals with appealing textures. Cleanse, moisturize, protect. Three simple steps they can do themselves, with pride.

"Once upon a time..." Our Story

When I was little, my mother passed on an essential lesson to me: taking care of your skin means protecting it for life.

When I became a mother, the question arose: how can I protect my children's skin in a more polluted, more aggressive world?

The realization that changed everything

Dermatologists and pharmacists confirmed it to me: from the age of 4, skin is no longer a baby's. It is developing rapidly, vulnerable, and deserves better than unsuitable formulas.

My daughters refused "baby" products. But what about teen or adult skincare? Far too concentrated for their delicate skin.

What I was looking for didn't exist

Natural, safe formulas, validated by the medical profession. Textures that make you want to use them. Packaging designed for their little hands. Routines that make them autonomous and proud.

Nothing on the market ticked all these boxes.

So I created it.

There is no such thing as chance

"Princes are born in cabbages, princesses in roses... and I grew up in cotton wool."

My grandmother, born prematurely, was wrapped in this delicate down to be protected, warmed, and saved. The cotton wool was her life's cocoon.

This name became an obvious choice. A legacy. A promise of softness and protection that I, in turn, wanted to pass on.

A range that grows with them

February 2019. After months of research alongside passionate experts, Ouate comes to life.

The first skincare range designed exclusively for children aged 4 and up is born.

Only the essentials, nothing but the essentials

Cleanse, moisturize, protect: three steps, safe formulas. Natural, organic, vegan, made in France with absolute rigor.

Ergonomic packaging adapted to their small hands to encourage their independence.

And above all: textures that make them want to use them

Because a child who enjoys taking care of themselves is a child who does it with pleasure. And when pleasure is there, good habits become reflexes.

Embark on a great adventure!

March 2019. We take the plunge.

Ouate opens its first pop-up store in Beaugrenelle, Paris. 30m² designed as a playground: bubble shower, mini spa treatments, and most importantly... meeting you and your children.

The emotion, the excitement, the first knowing glances. Ouate no longer just lives in our minds, it comes to life in their hands.

From the beginning, visionary partners believed in our mission. Pharmacies, perfumeries, concept stores, grand hotels: all embarked on the adventure with us.

La Pharmacie de la Côte d'Opale in Le Touquet, Le Bon Marché in Paris, Printemps Lille, Smallable, Petit Cube... They were the first to trust us.

Today, Ouate shines in nearly 800 points of sale in France and has soared far beyond: England, China, South Korea, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain...

Because caring for children knows no borders.

My Cleansing Whipped Cream® makes the Touquet bus shelters foam!

When our bus shelters are covered in moss, we realize: Ouate has found its home.

Le Touquet, the brand's birthplace, is hosting our first advertising campaign.
Augustin, our irresistible muse, poses in his bathtub with his favorite product:

When a child's drawing becomes a cult product

The story of MA CHANTILLY LAVANTE® begins with a drawing.

While creating Ouate, Astrid's daughters would leave sketches on her pillow: ideas for products they dreamed of.

Among all these drawings, Alix's stood out. A somewhat blurry scribble (we have to admit it! 😅), but one that concealed a brilliant idea: a light and fun mousse for washing.


MY WHIPPED CLEANSING CREAM® was born.


This anecdote illustrates Ouate's DNA: listening to children, not just parents. Because they are the ones who use the products daily, their desires guide our creations.
